The Fairway American Warrior Initiative (AWI) is a non-profit organization affiliated with Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation that focuses on supporting U.S. military veterans. Their mission is to educate, inspire, and give back to veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders through community outreach and financial assistance.
Key Initiatives:
Homeownership Support – Helps veterans achieve homeownership through mortgage assistance and education. Grants & Donations – Provides financial aid, service dogs, business grants, and other resources to veterans in need. AWI Certified Military Mortgage Specialist (CMMS) Program – Educates mortgage professionals on the unique challenges veterans face in home buying. Community Engagement – Organizes events and fundraisers to bring awareness and support to the veteran community. The AWI works to bridge the gap between the civilian and military worlds, ensuring that veterans receive the respect and opportunities they deserve.Each year, Fairway’s First Team is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of local veterans by raising funds and awareness through various community events. Our flagship initiative, the Service Dog Event held each July, is a cornerstone of this effort—providing life-changing service dogs to deserving veterans in need.
